Adrian Lyons speaking engagements


After over 16 years as one of Her Majesty’s Inspectors of Education for England, Adrian is now regularly commissioned to provide comment pieces in the education press.

He is available to give presentations around the following areas of knowledge and experience:

§ Accountability for schools: lessons from the English approach

§ Knowledge is not the enemy of Enterprise

§ Command and Control in Initial Teacher Training in England

He is a trustee / director of his subject association the Economics, Business & Enterprise Association (EBEA), the UK representative in the Association for European Economics Education (AEEE), a primary school governor and a trustee of the Association of Retired and Former HMI.

He has previously given presentations in many parts of England and in Ghent (Belgium), Athens (Greece), Konigswinter (Germany), Kufstein (Austria), Copenhagen (Denmark) and Freiburg (Germany).
